Welcome to the Department of Critical Care Medicine (CCM) At AVBR Hospital and J N Medical College, Sawangi-Wardha

    It is the first academic department of CCM in Central India permitted for 2 DM Critical Care Medicine seats by the National Medical Commission with elective posting at Fortis Hospital, Mulund, Mumbai.

    The department is proud to announce the starting of Indo-UK CCM Fellowship programme for 2 years under able guidance of Faculty CCM Dr Heman Deshpande who is CCM Specialist from the United Kingdom (UK).

To provide diverse and integrated training programme for Senior Residents of DM Critical Care Medicine at JNMC campus along with 4 months residency at 90 beds ICU of Fortis Hospital, Mulund, under able guidance of Dr Rahul Pandit ( Director of CCM, Fortis) and Dr C Vaity ( Co-Director).

To achieve every Senior Residents training at the level where they pass EDIC and FFICM (UK)with the help of joint academics with Fortis Mulund and Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth, UK.

Our Services

  • Management of Multi Organ Failure patients at dedicated 20 beded Critical Care Unit with Invasive Haemodynamic Monitoring.
  • Bedside Bronchoscopys.
  • Echocardiography and ICU Ultrasound.
  • Bedside Intermittant Haemodialysis and CRRT.
  • Percutaneous Tracheostomy with real time bronchoscopic guidance as done in any UK NHS hospitals.
  • Assessment, initial stabilisation and Transfer of a critically unwell patient from wards and casualty.
  • Central line placement and Neutrition advice.
